The New London County Fire Chiefs Association will be hosting the 127th Annual Connecticut State Firefighters Association Convention and Parade in 2010.

Dates: September 17-19, 2010

Convention to be held September 18th at
East Lyme High School; East Lyme, CT

Parade will be held September 19th in
New London, CT.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.

The Connecticut State Firefighter's Association, Inc. is established in order to form a more perfect organization, establish harmony of action, insure prosperity and success, provide pecuniary support, secure protection and promote the best interests of the firefighters of Connecticut and to compile statistics of information concerning the practical workings of various systems and the merits of various apparatus in use for the extinguishing of fires; also the cultivation of fraternal fellowship between the several departments of the State of Connecticut.

New London County Fire Chiefs Association

The New London County Fire Chiefs Association was established in 1932, for the purpose of providing mutual aid to neighboring towns and adjacent counties. Times were tough in 1932; as they are now and the need of being able to call on neighboring fire departments and emergency medical services made life a lot easier for the fire departments and EMS.  Seventy-seven years later the need still exists and we still rely on mutual aid. We have gotten more sophisticated over the years with our modern equipment and training techniques, but there will always be a need for mutual aid. The Association continues to grow and we offer a wide cadre of support to member departments in time of need. We coordinate both the CERRIT Haz-Mat Team and the CT Incident Management Team 4. The Association sponsors 2 monetary awards for students in the Fire Technology & Administration program at Three Rivers Community College. The Connecticut Firefighters Association has selected NLCFCA to host their one hundred twenty-seventh annual convention and parade in September 2010. - President Doug Evans
